ABOUT US

FLAME was incorporated in July 2011 with the aim of ensuring Phoenix Academy (formally Phoenix High School) as a pioneer in outward facing schools innovations.  Working as a charitable arm of the schools Family and Community Engagement Department, FLAME ensures local people and users of Phoenix Academy, are able to access support and programs which teach life-skills and promote family and inter-generational learning.  FLAME manages the school farm (a 3/4 of and acre outdoor learning space) and provides volunteer opportunities, educational programs and useable life-skills programs.  Our main area of benefit is the Wormholt & White City Ward of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham(see below), although all residents of Hammersmith & Fulham are eligible to attend FLAME activities.

FLAME is proud to work with many partners, including The Metropolitan Police, Hammersmith Community Gardens Association, London Sports Trust and The Salt Yard group, all of whom share the aspiration of improving lives in the local area.

FLAMES is managed by a group of Trustees with links to the local area:

-Ulick Tarabanov

-Councillor Larry Culhane
