Schools Programmes

FLAME with its base at Phoenix Academy is devoted to the education of young people.  Students from Phoenix Academy as well as seven local primary and pre-schools attend educational sessions on the farm, where they learn about growing and animal handling.  They are able to play with rabbits and collect eggs from the chickens which makes education fun.

Education Programmes - Families

Inter-generational learning is foremost in the aims of FLAME.  Programmes are delivered highlighting to families all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, including healthy cooking and exercise activities. With our partners Hammersmith Community Gardens and London Sports Trust.  We also deliver usable life skills workshops such as confidence and money management workshops.

FLAME acts as an organiser for a number of local events providing organisational expertise and administration aid.  In the local area events are seen as a key way for local residents to experience different cultures in a positive way - our principal event is the pop up restaurant organised with the Salt Yard group every summer.

Big Green Local

Working with Wormholt and White City Big Local to encourage local residents to become more involved in food growing and healthy eating activities. Using the Phoenix farm as a base, to deliver community programs that inspire change in local, neglected green spaces.
